New York-Jewelers of America announced this week that it has launched a comprehensive, anonymous study of how much people in the jewellery industry earn.
It said it will use the data gathered to update its “Guide to Careers in the Jewellery Industry” to better attract a younger, more diverse pool of employees to the fine jewellery industry.
JA is asking company owners, managers and HR professionals to securely share their input on the Jewellery Industry Salary Study Platform.
Study participants will be asked to provide metrics on salary basics, commission structures and benefits, work environment information, and education and experience level requirements.
All data will be collected securely and aggregated to ensure the privacy of participants.
The survey closes on 2 May. Individuals can take the survey online.”The launch of the Jewellery Industry Salary Study comes at a pivotal time in the changing workplace landscape as companies look to attract and retain great employees,” said JA President and CEO David J. Bonaparte.
“We look forward to gathering this comprehensive data to benefit the entire jewellery industry and attract a new, younger audience of future talent.”
By sharing information on different job roles, jewellers will be able to use the study as a benchmarking tool to compare their organisation’s compensation structure with others in the industry.
The data can also help companies identify new opportunities for growth and gain a competitive edge in recruiting.
All participants who complete the survey will be entered into a drawing for a $500 American Express gift card.
