$10,000 in stolen gold jewellery has RCPD searching for male suspect

MANHATTAN, Kan. (WIBW) – About $10,000 in stolen gold jewellery has Riley Co. Police on the hunt for a male suspect.

According to the Riley County Police Department’s activity report, law enforcement was called to Kay Jewelry in the 100 block of Manhattan Town Center around 7:15 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 29, on reports of a theft.When first responders arrived, they said they found employees reporting that an unknown man had stolen a 10k yellow gold diamond ring and a 24″ Italian 10k yellow gold necklace.

The crime cost the jeweller approximately $10,000.
