New York – Industry veteran Rebecca Shukan has embarked on a new chapter in her career.
Shukan is the new Director of Sales for Omi Privé, the Los Angeles-based development and coloured gemstone jewellery brand.
In her role, she will strengthen retailer relationships, expand brand awareness and oversee colour gemstone and sales training, the company said.
A graduate of the University of Wisconsin and the Gemological Institute of America, Shukan most recently served as director of the Diamond Council of America’s Jewellery Career Readiness Initiative.
Prior to that, she was a private jeweller for ten years.
Shukan has held leadership positions in the Women’s Jewellery Association of Los Angeles, the Junior League of Pasadena and the Pasadena Symphony.
“We’ve known Rebecca for many years and are thrilled to welcome her to our team,” said Niveet Nagpal, President and Designer of Omi Privé.
“Her background in coloured gemstones, as well as her experience in sales strategies and training, will be a great asset to our team and our stores.”
