Gambrills, Md.—Little Treasury Jewelers, an independent jewelry retailer in Maryland, has recently inaugurated a versatile new space adjacent to its primary store, aptly named “The Escapement” in homage to the intricate watch mechanism.
This innovative addition to the jewelry establishment serves a multitude of purposes, functioning as a showroom, event space, and a dedicated studio for crafting online marketing content. With its unveiling, The Escapement effectively amplifies the retailer’s space, expanding its footprint to an impressive 4,800 square feet.
The choice of the name reflects the store’s extensive collection of over 20 watch brands and signifies its commitment to providing an engaging retail experience with a focus on unconventional activities and entertainment.
According to the company, the expansion became imperative due to the remarkable growth of Little Treasury Jewelers. Co-owners Steve and Linda Hammalian were faced with the dilemma of accommodating this growth without relocating or establishing a secondary store in a distant location. Thus, they opted to create this multifaceted space in close proximity to their existing store.
In early November, amidst the presence of esteemed customers and local dignitaries, including Maryland Comptroller Brooke Lierman, the Hammalians ceremoniously inaugurated The Escapement with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
Steve Hammalian highlighted, “Throughout our store’s history, Little Treasury has orchestrated more than 200 events, held both on-site and across various venues in the DC-Maryland-Virginia region.”
He emphasized the significance of in-person events in cultivating robust relationships with their customer base. The new event space, complete with a bar, fireplace, and television screens, is poised to host an array of festivities, community gatherings, and educational initiatives.
Moreover, the space is envisioned to elevate the jeweler’s online presence through its state-of-the-art video production studio. Little Treasury has amassed a devoted following of 12,000 on its YouTube channel, producing an extensive array of 500 videos, shorts, and live streams.
The newly established studio will serve as a platform for regular live broadcasts, fostering direct interaction between viewers and the store’s personnel, as well as representatives from renowned watch and jewelry brands.
As the establishment continues to expand its horizons, augmenting remote sales and revamping its website, Little Treasury is actively recruiting additional staff to complement its growth trajectory.
Linda Hammalian attributed much of the store’s success to the team’s unwavering commitment to delivering exceptional service coupled with profound product expertise. She underscored the pivotal role played by their YouTube channel, Instagram presence, and online platforms in connecting with customers nationwide and even across international borders, nurturing enduring relationships that transcend mere commerce, evolving into enduring personal connections lasting for years, if not decades.
