Jewel360, a comprehensive cloud-based point-of-sale (POS) software tailored for contemporary jewelry retailers, has announced a new partnership with Jewelers for Children (JFC), introducing an integration that enables jewelers to prompt donations through their Jewel360 point-of-sale systems.
In an era where digital transactions have become the norm, traditional donation methods relying on cash have dwindled. The collaboration with Jewelers for Children, accessible to all Jewel360 users, empowers customers to round up their credit card purchases directly through the POS terminal at the point of sale, with the contribution designated for Jewelers for Children.
Sara Murphy, Executive Director at Jewelers for Children, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, “We’re excited to be partnering with Jewel360 to bring this integration to jewelry stores around the nation. Enabling consumers to have a direct way to donate, as they desire, is paramount to bringing more resources to the children.”
Established in 1999 by the U.S. jewelry industry, Jewelers for Children is dedicated to assisting children in need. Over the years, the organization has contributed more than $61 million to programs supporting children affected by illness, abuse, or neglect. This success is a testament to the ongoing generosity of various stakeholders within the jewelry trade and consumer community.
Nick Gurney, General Manager of Jewel360, acknowledged the evolving landscape of consumer behavior, remarking, “The way consumers shop has continued to drastically change. Everything from credit cards to eCommerce has made it difficult for jewelry store businesses to collect donations. This new integration allows jewelers to not only support Jewelers for Children but makes it simple for consumers to donate at the time of their purchase.”
Echoing this sentiment, Sara Murphy reiterated the significance of facilitating direct donation channels for consumers, underscoring its impact on providing aid and resources to children in need.
Jewel360 will showcase its platform and provide insights into the Jewelers for Children integration at The American Gem Society’s (AGS) International Conclave in Austin, Texas, from April 15-17, 2024. Attendees can visit booth #215 to learn more about the platform and integration.
Additionally, on April 16, at 10:45 a.m. CDT in Room 400, Jewel360 will host a presentation titled “Selling in a Modern Marketplace,” addressing key aspects such as understanding the modern customer, digital marketing strategies, customer engagement tactics, and integrating ecommerce into jewelry businesses.
