In a daring jewelry heist at Cordova Mall in Pensacola, Florida, suspects made off with nearly $300,000 worth of merchandise, as captured on surveillance video.
The incident unfolded after Farzin Davabid, Owner of Farzin Jewelry, closed his kiosk around 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Unbeknownst to him, the suspects waited for him to leave before breaking in.
Davabid described the stolen items as genuine Rolex watches, gold, diamonds, and bracelets. He noted that the suspects initially appeared as regular customers, asking about the authenticity of the jewelry.
However, investigators revealed that the suspects were scouting the area.
With nearly two decades of experience in the jewelry business, Davabid expressed his devastation over the theft, emphasizing that much of the inventory comprised his own designs.
Despite the setback, Davabid remains hopeful and plans to auction recovered items, donating the proceeds to local charities.
Authorities urge anyone with information about the suspects to contact the Pensacola Police Department promptly.
