Dubai—Spanish jewelry brand PDPAOLA, founded by siblings Paola and Humbert Sasplugas, is expanding its footprint in Saudi Arabia with the opening of new stores. The brand recently launched outlets in Al-Nakheel Mall in Dammam and Al-Noor Shopping Center in Madinah, adding to its existing store in Panorama Mall, Riyadh. The fourth store is set to open at U WALK in Jeddah on August 4.
This expansion follows a busy first half of the year for PDPAOLA, which included its first store opening in China in May and a new boutique in Peru in the spring.
“We feel there is a natural fit with our value and selling proposition in this market,” Humbert Sasplugas told Arab News regarding their decision to target Saudi Arabia. “PDPAOLA constitutes a new jewelry language that blends effortless elegance with contemporary lines to create timeless sophisticated pieces.”
The brand, known for rings, earrings, necklaces, and bracelets, specializes in shaping natural gemstones into signature designs using contemporary techniques while blending them with traditional artistry. This traditional artistry is a core value for Paola Sasplugas, who has been passionate about jewelry since childhood.
“I used to hand-make jewelry pieces for myself, intuitively discovering my identity with every creation,” she shared. “Our pieces are designed for modern living, versatile designs with a comfortable fit that transcend occasions and become the ultimate symbol of self-empowerment.”
PDPAOLA aims to engage with Saudi women in a fresh and respectful manner, offering pieces that reflect both modern elegance and timeless sophistication.
Looking ahead, the brand plans further expansion into key markets in the region, including the UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Oman. “We want to center the presence of the brand in cosmopolitan and contemporary areas that align with the brand, such as the United Arab Emirates,” Humbert added.
PDPAOLA’s strategic expansion underscores its commitment to bringing its unique blend of contemporary and traditional jewelry to a broader audience in the Middle East.
