Tiffany & Co.’s pop-up at the U.S. Open is far more than just a retail outlet; it’s a captivating experience where tennis enthusiasts can embark on a sensory exploration of Tiffany’s storied legacy, exquisite craftsmanship, and profound ties to the world of tennis.
This marks the second year in a row that Tiffany has graced the U.S. Open with its presence, taking place at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in New York City until September 8. The luxury brand, owned by LVMH, has been the official trophy partner for the Open since 1987, underscoring its long-standing relationship with the prestigious event.
Visitors to this immersive pop-up are treated to an array of iconic Tiffany pieces, many of which are artfully showcased against a backdrop of tennis balls in the brand’s signature Tiffany Blue. Among the highlights are replicas of the U.S. Open men’s and women’s singles championship trophies, which are painstakingly crafted each year by skilled silversmiths at Tiffany’s Cumberland, Rhode Island workshop—a process that takes up to five months to complete.
Adding to the allure is the spotlight on a one-of-a-kind Elsa Peretti Diamonds by the Yard tennis racket, adorned with approximately 30 carats of bezel-set diamonds. This extraordinary piece not only celebrates Tiffany’s enduring partnership with the USTA but also exemplifies the jeweler’s mastery of fine diamonds. The racket’s handle, meticulously painted in black lacquer using the ancient Japanese technique of inden, reflects Peretti’s deep appreciation for traditional craftsmanship.
Blending the old with the new, the pop-up also features an augmented-reality mirror by Snap Inc., allowing guests to explore two unique lens experiences. This fusion of technology and tradition highlights Tiffany & Co.’s innovative approach to luxury, creating a memorable intersection of style and sport that resonates with visitors long after they leave the court.
Through this immersive and cutting-edge space at the U.S. Open, Tiffany & Co. reaffirms its commitment to blending luxury with cultural milestones, offering tennis fans an unforgettable experience that extends far beyond the game.
