A new era in diamond colour grading has arrived as GCAL by Sarine, Stuller, and the Accredited Gemologists Association (AGA) introduce the Certified Hybrid Diamond Colour Master Sets.
These groundbreaking sets combine natural and lab-grown diamonds, offering unparalleled precision and affordability for colour grading.
Developed to address the limitations of traditional master sets, this innovation is fully approved by AGA under its Certified Gemological Laboratory (CGL) program.
Sourcing these diamonds required meticulous selection, with Stuller leveraging its extensive global network to procure the finest stones. Advanced AI technology from Sarine then ensured a streamlined and efficient selection process.
According to Guy Borenstein, Stuller’s Director of Gemstone Procurement and Senior Gemmologist, “Thanks to the fantastic collaboration with GCAL, a project that typically takes over a year and involves hundreds of rejected stones was successfully completed in less than two months.”
The Certified Hybrid Diamond Colour Master Sets were officially unveiled at the prestigious AGA Tucson Conference, where they received significant industry attention.
Soon, these sets will be available through Stuller, bringing unprecedented accuracy and accessibility to diamond grading laboratories and professionals worldwide.
Reflecting on this milestone, Donald A. Palmieri, Founding Partner of GCAL by Sarine, emphasized the importance of this tool: “In all my years of appraising and certifying diamonds, no tool has been more critical to my gemmological work than my diamond colour master set.
GCAL is proud to provide certification for these master sets in joint cooperation with Stuller and AGA.”
