When you think of Hermès, what comes to mind? Perhaps the brand’s signature orange, the deep allure of rouge H, or the bold geometric patterns of its legendary silk scarves.
At Hermès, colour is more than just a design element—it is a defining force, woven into its heritage from its equestrian beginnings to its modern masterpieces.
This vibrant legacy now takes center stage in ‘Les Formes de la Couleur,’ a breathtaking high jewellery collection by Pierre Hardy, Hermès’ creative director of jewellery.
More than a showcase of gemstones, this collection is a poetic exploration of colour as an emotion, a tangible force that speaks to the senses.
Hardy asks: What if we could feel colour? What emotions would it spark? And how can we capture its essence in a wearable form?
With over 1,400 meticulously selected gemstones, including radiant emeralds, fiery rubies, velvety sapphires, and dazzling diamonds, ‘Les Formes de la Couleur’ is a symphony of hues.
This collection also introduces an expansive palette of semi-precious stones, reflecting Hermès’ commitment to redefining haute bijouterie. Each piece is a dialogue between light, movement, and emotion, designed to transcend the boundaries of traditional jewellery.
“This collection expresses colour through form,” Hardy explains. “At Hermès, we have an extensive colour library of nearly 75,000 silk references, yet this is the first time such a broad spectrum of stones has been used in high jewellery. Colour is an infinite resource, and I wanted to explore its full potential.”
Hermès has always understood the transformative power of colour—from the instantly recognizable orange box to the vibrant silk carrés adored by royalty and collectors alike.
Now, Hardy takes this passion further, crafting jewellery that doesn’t just dazzle the eye but stirs the soul.
