London’s V&A Museum unveils Cartier: Timeless Icons, a sparkling exhibition of over 350 iconic jewels from the legendary French maison. From royal tiaras to celebrity heirlooms, the showcase reveals why Cartier remains a symbol of elegance across generations.
Founded in 1847, Cartier rose to global fame with royal patronage—most notably King Edward VII, who granted the brand its first royal warrant in 1902. That same year, Cartier created a tiara now famously worn by Rihanna in 2016.
Other star pieces include:
- Queen Elizabeth II’s pink Williamson diamond brooch
- Princess Margaret’s rose clip worn at her sister’s coronation
- Grace Kelly’s diamond engagement ring
- Elizabeth Taylor’s ruby necklace from Mike Todd
- Jackie Kennedy’s tricolor Cartier watch, later owned by Kim Kardashian
“Cartier never goes out of fashion,” says curator Helen Molesworth. “These jewels speak to the modern woman while honoring a rich legacy.”
Whether you’re drawn to royalty, Hollywood, or haute couture, this exhibit is a brilliant celebration of timeless design and craftsmanship.
