Gold Division Aims to Boost $200M in Jewelry Export by End of 2023

Head of the Gold and Jewelry Division Ehab Wasef said that the division aims to boost $200M in jewelry exports by the end of this year.

He indicated that the Division is keen on entering the Arab markets in a bid to expand its gold jewelry exports, adding that the recent government directives to cancel valuation fees have led to the expansion of the Division’s role in opening new markets.

Wasef also revealed that Egypt aims to enter the list of the top 10 countries exporting gold artifacts by the end of 2024 and to put Egypt’s name on the world map as the largest country exporting gold artifacts.

In the same connection, Wasef said that Egypt plans to enter the list of the 30 largest exporters of gold and jewelry by the end of 2023, noting that Egypt has ranked 67th in 2021.
