(PRESS RELEASE) NEW YORK – Jewelers for Children (JFC), a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping children whose lives have been affected by illness, abuse or neglect, announces the upcoming Jewelers for Children Day on September 23, 2023. This special day is designed to unite retail jewellers across the country in a collective effort to positively impact the lives of children facing various forms of adversity.
Since its inception, JFC has donated more than $61 million to its charity partners, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Make-A-Wish America, the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation and the National CASA/GAL Association. JFC also supports Make-A-Wish International and the Autism Research Organization.
Jewelers for Children Day serves as a reminder of the important role the jewellery industry plays in supporting these charitable causes and making a difference in the lives of children.
One of the most important aspects of Jewelers for Children Day is that no financial contribution is required from the retailer to participate. JFC believes that every retailer can make a difference by raising awareness of the event and the important work they do to help children in need. By participating, retailers have the opportunity to demonstrate their commitment to philanthropy and community involvement.
To further increase the impact of Jewelers for Children Day, JFC has partnered with Elias World Media to create a compelling lifestyle Video News Release (VNR) segment to generate nationally syndicated media coverage to raise awareness of JFC Day and seasonal jewellery trends. The professionally produced video segment was filmed and edited to highlight the positive impact and generosity of the jewellery industry on children’s lives and the important role consumers can play in supporting this charitable cause by shopping on JFC Day.
Retailers who sign up to participate in JFC Day 2023 will have the exclusive opportunity to personalise the VNR by adding their logo, and will be able to use the video on their social media channels and in-store, as well as pitch it to their local news outlets. This personalised approach allows retailers to showcase their involvement in this worthy cause, while promoting their commitment to the local community.
“We are thrilled to invite all jewellers to join us in celebrating Jewelers for Children Day on 23 September 2023,” said David Rocha, executive director of the JFC. “This event provides a powerful platform for the jewellery industry to come together and make a lasting difference in the lives of children in need. By using the personalised video news release, retailers can share their commitment to philanthropy and inspire their communities to get involved.”
Jewelers for Children encourages all retailers, large and small, to mark their calendars for 23 September 2023 and join in this nationwide celebration. By partnering with JFC, retailers can make a meaningful impact and help build a brighter future for children facing challenges.
