Apple Valley, Minnesota – After more than three decades in business, Jay F. Jeweler is closing its doors. Owner Jay Feichtinger is retiring and looking forward to his next chapter – spending more time with his family and five grandchildren, and preparing to welcome a sixth in August.
For 35 years, the Minnesota jeweller has provided customers with fine jewellery and custom designs. The store is proud to have been one of the first in the Twin Cities to use computer-aided design and manufacturing (CAD/CAM) technology, beginning in 2007.
He took some time off after graduating from college, but his passion for jewellery eventually led him back to the industry.
He worked briefly in wholesale from his basement and opened his own business in 1988, initially as a repair shop.
Over the past three decades, Jay F. Jeweler has grown to become a leading retailer with a staff of trained, professional jewellers. The store is having a “store closing” sale, which began on 10 April and is expected to last until the end of May as the store completes any remaining custom work, Feichtinger said.Everything in the store will be up to 70 per cent off.
The sale will also serve as a celebration of Jay F. Jeweler’s legacy. The custom and re-creation pieces created at Jay F. Jeweler have attracted and delighted customers from around the world, the company said.
The store said it has defined itself through its “unparalleled” customer service, standing on the pillars of honesty, transparency and loyalty to cultivate a loyal customer base.
“Operating my store for the past 35 years and growing with the Apple Valley and surrounding communities has truly been a joy and a labour of love. We’ve been honoured by the support of our wonderful customers. I’ve also been blessed with employees who are simply the best. Everyone has worked honestly and hard to create memorable items and serve our customers,” said Feichtinger. “That’s the part I’ll miss the most, the customers.
