Strictly judge Motsi Mabuse wore £58,000 worth of diamonds on last week’s show – courtesy of BBC licence fee payers.
The Mail on Sunday can reveal that the star hired the luxury accessories from Boodles jewellers at a cost of more than £1,000.
And we can also reveal that her stylist, Sinead McKeefry, has been reprimanded by BBC bosses for promoting the high-end company on Instagram. Ms McKeefry also dresses Claudia Winkleman and on the same night tagged a pair of £595 red Christian Louboutin stilettos worn by the presenter on the show.
Ms Mabuse, 41, is paid £200,000 per series by the BBC, plus a generous clothing budget which covered the hire of the four pieces from Boodles she wore on last Sunday’s results show. The ensemble included three platinum diamond pieces – a £18,300 bangle, £15,600 hoop earrings and a £14,300 ring – and a £10,000 white gold and diamond bangle. All were returned within a few days.
