As part of its ongoing growth and development strategy, Boucheron has recently acquired a high jewellery workshop renowned for its expertise in traditional craftsmanship. Located near the Place Vendôme in Paris, the workshop allows Boucheron to strengthen the production capacity of its historic high jewellery workshop.
The workshop is made up of four companies: Blondeau, Belter, Chanson and FG Développement, which have been working together at the same address since 2017. They employ around sixty craftsmen (CAD designers, jewellers, lapidaries, setters and polishers) who are involved in every stage of the creation of a high jewellery creation.
This group was founded by Cédric Gangemi, a young French entrepreneur and qualified jeweller. Gangemi had worked for Chanson and Blondeau before taking over and developing these companies. These new teams will join Maison Boucheron on 31 October 2023, working alongside the historic workshop at 26 Place Vendôme to bring the Maison’s high jewellery collections to life.
Hélène Poulit-Duquesne, CEO of Maison Boucheron, said: “The acquisition of this high jewellery workshop opens a new chapter in the history of the Maison. It will strengthen the production capacity of Boucheron’s historic workshop on the Place Vendôme, enabling us to meet the growing demand of our clients while maintaining the excellence of our craftsmanship.”
