Dallas-Bachendorf’s has reopened its newly renovated boutique at the Galleria Dallas.
The century-old company, owned by the Bock family, has been in the mall since the 1980s.
The redesigned space balances lavish displays with an inviting layout, the retailer said, reflecting the Bock family’s customer-centric values and allowing for a seamless, immersive shopping experience.
The new 7,000 square foot showroom features a curated ensemble of luxury names including David Yurman, Roberto Coin, Mikimoto, Norman Silverman Breitling, Omega and Cartier.
Swiss watchmaker Zenith has also joined the brand line-up.
The new layout also includes an enhanced bridal atelier with a sophisticated and artistic design, where master jewellers help source diamonds and create bespoke settings.
The store is also reintroducing its Rolex shop-in-shop in a 1,500-square-foot “sophisticated” setting that promotes harmony and intimacy with the brand, Bachendorf’s said.
The design features the elegant Rolex aesthetic and “radiates the values of the Rolex crown”, the retailer said.
Bachendorf’s legacy began with Abram Bock, who learned the trade as an apprentice in 1900 in St Petersburg, Russia, where he married the daughter of his jewellery teacher.
In 1928 they moved to Memel, Germany, where Bock had a flourishing jewellery business. The family, including their two children, moved again in 1947 to Dallas, where Bock’s four brothers had settled before the war. He opened his first jewellery repair shop in the city centre in 1948 and eventually began selling diamonds.
His son Harry took over the business when Abram died in 1968, opening the first Bachendorf’s store in 1977 and running it until his death in 2010, when he was succeeded by his son Lawrence.
“As we embrace our heritage, we are proud to open a new chapter at Galleria Dallas,” said fourth-generation Bachendorf’s owner Lawrence Bock.
