RICHMOND, VA – A collective effort by ten esteemed jewelers in Richmond, Virginia, culminated in a commendable donation of nearly $23,000 to a children’s charity. The generous gesture unfolded at the Children’s Hospital Foundation Ball in November.
The 2023 Jewels for Children Raffle, supported by these independent, family-owned jewelers, successfully amassed a substantial sum of $22,950 for the Children’s Hospital Foundation at Virginia Commonwealth University.
Contributions from the following renowned jewelers, each showcasing pieces valued at approximately $5,000, significantly bolstered the 2023 Jewels for Children Raffle: Carreras Jewelers, Cheryl Fornash Jewelers, Cowardin’s Jewelers, Dransfield Jewelers, Fink’s Jewelers, Lustre by Adolf, Charles Schwarzschild Jewelers, Schwarzschild Jewelers, Victoria Charles Jewelry, and Alan Furs and Fine Jewelry.
Remarkably, these charitable endeavors have been an annual tradition since the raffle’s inception in 2009, with consistent contributions from the above-mentioned jewelers.
The brainchild of Cheryl Fornash from Cheryl Fornash Jewelers, this philanthropic event has proven instrumental in raising over $200,000 for various Richmond-area nonprofits, underscoring the commitment of these jewelers to their community.
