T.Gold 2024: Leading Innovations and Machinery for Jewelry Industry Showcased in Vicenza, Italy

Vicenza, Italy – T.Gold, the premier global event dedicated to cutting-edge technology in the jewelry supply chain, is set to return from January 19th to 23rd, 2024. Renowned for showcasing groundbreaking advancements in machinery for goldsmithing and the latest techniques applied to gold and jewelry production, this international gathering will highlight over 70 exhibitors from 18 countries. Notably, Germany, Turkey, Switzerland, the United States, and the United Kingdom will join Italy in spearheading this edition, with 60% of exhibitors hailing from Italy and 40% representing foreign countries.

Organized by IEG – Italian Exhibition Group, T.Gold will run concurrently with Vicenzaoro January, the globally recognized international exhibition for the gold and jewelry industry. Presenting a comprehensive array of technological solutions, T.Gold aims to consolidate the most comprehensive panorama of innovations in jewelry manufacturing and processing, underscoring the strategic importance of specialization and manufacturing excellence in a fiercely competitive global market.

Positioning itself as the pivotal event in the jewelry and technology sector, T.Gold 2024 aspires to act as a catalyst for industry evolution. Serving as the inaugural entry on the trade show calendar for jewelry machinery, the event seeks to provide a comprehensive and current exhibition to support, respond to, and expedite the evolution of the supply chain. Collaboration with experts, market leaders, and innovators aims to foster new methodologies, cutting-edge solutions, and foster strategic partnerships.

Central to this year’s showcase are themes of sustainability, performance enhancement, craftsmanship, and cross-disciplinary influences driving optimization in production processes. The January edition promises an extensive and pioneering display, with a vast exhibition area presenting the foremost players in jewelry manufacturing alongside an expanded range of showcased technologies. Emphasizing Italian excellence, the event reaffirms its global leadership, showcasing top international proposals, providing jewelry companies with a comprehensive overview of innovations for their supply chains to bolster competitiveness.

Occupying the entirety of Hall 9, the five-day show will feature visit itineraries that enable buyers to explore the latest ideas categorized into six macro-categories: alloys and galvanic treatments, prototyping and digital production, mechanical processing, assembly and soldering, refining and recovery, finishing, and tools. The collaboration with AFEMO (Association of Jewellery Machinery Manufacturers and Exporters) and the support of ITA Meccanica will bring together leading companies such as Elettrolaser, Fasti Industriale, G.B. F.lli Bertoncello, Italimpianti Orafi, Legor Group, Orotig, Progold, Sisma, alongside prominent international entities like Heimerle+Meule, Niqua, Schultheiss from Germany; Starrag Vuadens from Switzerland; and Goodwin Refractory Services from the UK.

Amid the pursuit of greater production efficiency lies an increasing focus on sustainability, integral to the brand equity of jewelry companies. This shift, influenced by generational changes, particularly resonates with Generation X and Y’s heightened attention to ethical concerns shaping purchasing trends. According to the “Sustainability in the Jewelry Sector” report by Cibjo in 2023, the market for sustainable jewelry is expanding rapidly and is expected to reach a value of $20 billion by 2027, largely driven by the availability of new technologies and materials for jewelry production. Consequently, brands and their supply chains are urged to align with high sustainability standards and adopt tools that enhance and monitor sourcing and manufacturing processes, ranging from international ESG certifications to WEEE registrations.

Elevating machinery performance emerges as a critical aspect, facilitating the optimal utilization of resources in terms of both materials and energy. In alignment with the 2023 trajectory, showcased technologies from major brands – including Chiron Italia and Crevoisier – underscore a high degree of integration enabling the management of multiple production processes, enhancing performance control, and resource utilization. Simultaneously, certain companies will unveil machinery catering to custom or niche productions, amplifying manual skills and craftsmanship, intrinsic to the essence of Made in Italy. The intersection of the fashion and jewelry industries further shapes technological advancements, evident in the growing array of tools for processing bronze and brass.

T.Gold 2024 encapsulates a diversified offering spanning sustainability, performance, craftsmanship, and cross-disciplinary influences with the fashion world. It stands as an unmissable opportunity for those seeking to explore cutting-edge technologies in the global jewelry industry. The Jewellery Technology Forum, held in collaboration with Legor Group, will delve deeply into key topics linked to innovation in jewelry industry technologies, offering ten thematic sessions scheduled for Sunday, January 21st, at the Educational Hub in Hall 8.0. The forum will witness the participation of stakeholders, research institutes, and key players from the jewelry supply chain worldwide. National voices including Intesa Sanpaolo, Milan Polytechnic, and the Italian Gemmological Foundation will be complemented by international contributions from the Research Institute for Precious Metals and Metal Chemistry and COReGOLD Technology Consultancy. Noteworthy company case studies by Legor Group, Progold, Fairever, and Hoover and Strong will also be featured.

The forum’s agenda will encompass a wide array of topics ranging from new challenges in macroeconomic scenarios, strategies for novel alloy development, the latest in metalworking technologies, design in the digital age, and discussions on the importance of Fairtrade and Fairmind sustainability certifications. Moreover, the growing popularity of lab-grown gemstones and its implications will also be deliberated upon.
