Neenah, Wisconsin – Responding to sustained interest and recognizing the ongoing challenges faced by the jewelry industry, Jewelers Mutual Group is extending its provision of counseling services through the “Relieve” benefit via Telus Health.
The initiative, offering complimentary counseling services, remains accessible to jewelers, their immediate families, and employees in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, and Australia. Initially expanded in November of the previous year, the counseling services were made available to the entire jewelry sector until the close of 2023, departing from the company’s conventional focus solely on commercially-insured clientele.
In light of continued demand, Jewelers Mutual has decided to extend this support until March 31. The move comes as a response to the sustained interest demonstrated by jewelers in utilizing the free professional telephone counseling services.
Scott Murphy, President and CEO at Jewelers Mutual, emphasized the industry’s significant challenges in the preceding year. He acknowledged that many jewelers, amidst serving their customers, had postponed addressing their personal needs, particularly during the demanding holiday season. Murphy expressed hope that in the initial months of the new year, industry professionals could prioritize their health and wellbeing.
“In times of crisis or trauma, we understand that the impact may not be felt for days, weeks, or months after the incident,” remarked Murphy. “It’s important for us to take care of our industry when help is needed most. We are stronger together.”
The counseling service, available 24/7, facilitates confidential sessions with qualified and experienced professional counselors. This extension underscores Jewelers Mutual Group’s commitment to supporting the mental health and overall wellness of the jewelry community during challenging times.
