SINGAPORE / TEL-AVIV – January 22, 2024 – Sarine Technologies Ltd, a globally recognized leader in precision technology products for the diamond and gem industry, has once again redefined the landscape of rough diamond planning with the launch of its innovative Most Valuable Planning (MVP) software. Listed on the Singapore Exchange Mainboard (SGX) and Tel-Aviv (TASE), Sarine introduces a cutting-edge planning algorithm that promises to generate up to 5% additional value from the resultant polished diamonds.
The MVP software, the next generation in diamond planning, is initially tailored for very small rough diamonds measuring half a carat and below. The groundbreaking algorithm demonstrates substantial added value to polished output, contingent upon the quality of the rough diamond on which it is applied. Preliminary beta tests have indicated an impressive up to 5% increase in additional value. Significantly, this new planning solution is a fully automated, cloud-based service, contributing to a reduction in manual labor during the planning process, thereby enhancing cost-efficiency for manufacturers.
The revolutionary planning paradigm is set to evolve, with plans for extension to rough diamonds in the 50-90 points range later in the current year. Further expansion is anticipated in 2025 to include larger diamond sizes. The MVP software will be available as an optional service integrated into the Advisor® 8.0 rough planning software package, and will be offered on a per-use basis.
David Block, CEO of Sarine, emphasized the company’s commitment to technological leadership within the diamond industry value chain. He stated, “The MVP is a development we have been working on for years, which has now reached maturity due also to advances in cloud computing. Having broken the barrier, we will now extend this radically new offering to additional qualities and ranges of rough diamonds, wherein the challenges are commensurate with the size and complexity of the stones analyzed.”
In anticipation of significant added value, Sarine expects the MVP to generate a new recurring revenue stream over time, as it addresses an extensive domain where tens of millions of stones of these sizes are scanned annually on Sarine Galaxy® systems, with hundreds of millions ultimately polished. The cloud-based nature of MVP provides an additional layer of intellectual property (IP) protection in a highly competitive segment. Concurrently, Sarine plans to introduce a new model, Galaxy® Meteor™ Plus, later this year, featuring similar throughput and automation benefits as implemented in the current Galaxy® Meteorite™ Plus model.
Block further commented on the MVP’s reception, stating, “We are already running demos in India and have a backlog of interested customers through the end of the quarter and into Q2.”
Sarine Technologies’ relentless pursuit of innovation continues to reshape the diamond industry, positioning the company at the forefront of technological advancements within the sector.
