New York— Haridas Kotahwala, the esteemed leader of Royal India USA Inc., has been elected as the president of the Indian Diamond & Colorstone Association (IDCA), as the organization anticipates its 40th anniversary this year.
A founding member of the IDCA, Kotahwala secured unanimous support for his presidency during the board of directors meeting convened on January 16. This marks Kotahwala’s sixth term as president, a testament to his enduring commitment to the association.
Aniket Parikh of Terra Cor Diamonds joins Kotahwala in leadership as the newly elected vice president, while Manoj Bhandari of RMC Gems Inc. assumes the role of secretary. Navneet Chordia of Galaxy USA Inc. has been elected treasurer, and Vibhor Saraf of Trillion Emerald Inc. will serve as joint secretary.
The esteemed directors for 2024 include Shailesh Jhalani of Prompt Gem Importers Inc., Nimish Mehta of Atit Diamond Corp., Kailash Rawat of Rawat Gems LLC, Anshal Shah of Suraj Impex Inc., Akshat Sanghavi of Dynamic Design Group, and Jihan Vaghashiya of Star Rays NY Inc.
Welcoming new perspectives, the IDCA has appointed Kunal Shah of Pristine Gems Inc. and Vishal Shah of Verigold Jewelry as incoming directors for the year 2024.
The incoming board and executive committee extend their gratitude to Shailesh Jhalani, who served as president last year, for his dedicated service to the association. Additionally, retiring board members Rutali Gandhi of Sagar Star Corp. and Vinit Jobanputra of Sanghvi Diamonds LLC are acknowledged for their valuable contributions as secretary/treasurer and vice president, respectively.
Established in 1984, the IDCA operates as a New York-based not-for-profit organization, uniting diamantaires, colored stone dealers, and jewelry manufacturers from India with businesses in the United States.
