New York—The Women’s Jewelry Association (WJA) has announced the appointment of Nikia Levesque as the vice president of its philanthropic arm, the WJA Foundation.

Bringing with her a decade of industry experience and a steadfast commitment to furthering women’s careers, Levesque’s appointment underscores her proven leadership and innovative prowess, as cited by the WJA.

Susan Chandler, President of WJA and Chief Merchandising Officer at Citizen Watch America, praised Levesque’s blend of industry acumen and dedication to women’s empowerment. Currently serving as the Vice President of Marketing at Day’s Jewelers, Levesque directs the company’s brand strategy, market development, and advertising initiatives. Her journey with the retailer began during her high school years, initially working in the service department. Today, her expertise encompasses various domains including marketing strategy, brand management, social media marketing, and customer relationship management.

During her tenure at Day’s Jewelers, Levesque led initiatives such as the launch of the retailer’s new Shopify website and played a pivotal role in platform migration and site development. Additionally, she facilitated the development of a comprehensive brand book and orchestrated strategic partnerships with brands like Sea Bags, a Maine-based company specializing in accessories crafted from repurposed sails.

Recognized in Jewelers of America’s “20 Under 40” class of 2023, Levesque expressed her deep honor in assuming the role of Vice President for the Women’s Jewelry Association Foundation Board. She emphasized her commitment to advancing the foundation’s mission of promoting education, mentorship, and opportunities for women in the jewelry industry.
