BACOLOD CITY – Renowned broadcaster and journalist Elsie Jolingan celebrated her 75th birthday in grand style at the Chalet, L’Fisher Hotel, Bacolod City, on March 23, 2024.
The jubilant occasion saw a gathering of esteemed friends hailing from diverse sectors of the community, all converging to extend their warm wishes to Jolingan on this momentous day.
Having previously served as the President of the Negros Press Club, Jolingan has cultivated enduring relationships across various spheres, including politics, civic organizations, business, and, notably, within her own cherished family and relatives.
Among the distinguished attendees were former Bacolod City mayors Evelio Leonardia and Monico Puentevella, councilor Em Ang, former council member Sonya Verdeflor—who also holds the distinction of being a past president of the Rotary Club of Bacolod East, an organization where Jolingan herself once presided—Harold Geronimo of Megaworld, fellow media colleagues, as well as her classmates and close friends, among others.

Despite being physically distant, Jolingan’s daughter, Renei, ensured that her beloved Nanay received a heartfelt tribute, expressing, “Today, it’s all about HER.
