Provo, Utah—Jewel360, a leading provider of cloud-based point-of-sale (POS) software tailored for jewelry retailers, has forged a strategic partnership with Jewelers for Children (JFC) to introduce its latest donation integration feature.
This collaboration enables jewelers to seamlessly incorporate charitable giving into their sales process by offering customers the opportunity to round up their credit card purchases through the POS terminal, directing the rounded-up amount as a donation to JFC.
Nick Gurney, General Manager of Jewel360, highlighted the significance of this integration in adapting to evolving consumer behavior, stating, “The transformation in customer shopping patterns, from cash transactions to digital payments, has posed challenges for jewelry retailers in soliciting donations. Our new integration not only facilitates support for Jewelers for Children but also simplifies the donation process for consumers at the point of sale.”
Jewelers for Children, an initiative by the jewelry industry aimed at aiding children affected by illness, abuse, or neglect, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership. Sarah Murphy, Executive Director at JFC, emphasized the importance of empowering consumers to contribute directly, stating, “Our mission to assist children in need hinges on the generosity of jewelry organizations, professionals, and stores. Providing consumers with a convenient avenue for donation aligns with our objective of channeling more support and resources to children.”
Since its establishment in 1999, JFC has disbursed over $61 million in aid, a testament to the collective generosity of various stakeholders within the jewelry industry.
Tailored specifically for jewelry retailers, Jewel360’s comprehensive, cloud-based retail software seamlessly integrates online and in-person sales, inventory management, repairs, customer communications, and marketing initiatives.
Jewel360 will showcase its innovative platform and discuss JFC’s mission at booth 215 during the AGS Conclave 2024 in Austin, Texas, scheduled from April 15 to 17.
