Jewelers Mutual, in collaboration with the Gemological Institute of America (GIA), has unveiled the Ron Harder Gemological Scholarship, a $50,000 initiative aimed at fostering the development of future gemologists. Named in honor of Ron Harder, former CEO of Jewelers Mutual renowned for his unwavering commitment to excellence, innovation, and education within the jewelry industry, this scholarship will be disbursed over a span of five years, providing an annual award of $10,000.
Available to current students enrolled in GIA’s esteemed gemology program, applicants for the Ron Harder Gemological Scholarship are tasked with submitting an essay ranging from 500 to 1000 words elucidating how the scholarship would facilitate their program completion and pave the way for a prosperous career in the jewelry industry. The application window extends from April 1st to April 30th.
