Seacaucus, N.J. — Unique Designs, a prominent manufacturer and wholesaler of fine jewelry, recently finalized the acquisition of California-based China Pearl.
Specializing in a diverse array of pearls, China Pearl offers Chinese freshwater pearls, Japanese Akoya cultured pearls, as well as white and golden South Sea pearls sourced from Australia and Southeast Asia, alongside Tahitian Black Pearls from French Polynesia.
Catering to a broad clientele ranging from department stores and chain retailers to independent shops, China Pearl not only supplies pearls but also crafts exquisite pearl jewelry. Their services extend to providing private label products and customized packaging solutions.
Albert Franco, CEO of Unique Designs, expressed enthusiasm about the acquisition, emphasizing the alignment between the two companies. [Its] product line complements ours, creating a synergy that will allow us to offer a more diverse and comprehensive range of products to our customers.”
Unique Designs, already a formidable player in the jewelry industry, boasts ownership of Mercury Ring, a leading supplier of lab-grown diamonds, and Tanya Creations, a renowned fashion jewelry design company. Franco underscored the significance of this diversity, asserting, “This diversity is not just about having more to offer, but about meeting the varied needs of our customers, about being a one-stop solution for them.”
Harold Jabarian, the founder and CEO of China Pearl since its establishment in 1983, expressed optimism about the acquisition, noting the potential for accelerated growth under Unique Designs’ stewardship. He remarked, “It represents an exciting opportunity for us to accelerate our growth, expand our reach, and continue to deliver the high-quality products and services our customers have come to expect.”
Jabarian further expressed confidence in Unique Designs’ capabilities to drive China Pearl’s growth trajectory, stating, “I believe they have the necessary resources to drive China Pearl’s growth and propel it to a different level.”
