Los Angeles-based artist and jeweler, Maggi Simpkins, has recently teamed up with Bose to introduce an innovative addition to the world of audio accessories. The collaboration has unveiled a stunning pair of diamond-set earbuds, as showcased by musician Kenzie Ziegler at the Billboard Women in Music Awards.
Derived from Bose Ultra Open Earbuds, these bespoke creations have been embellished with a captivating array of white diamonds, seamlessly marrying functionality with haute couture.
Simpkins’ intricate design process involved precision-cutting diamonds to perfectly conform to the contours of the headphones, before intricately setting them in yellow gold. The outcome is a visually striking yet refined accessory that enhances any attire without overwhelming the wearer’s overall appearance.
Reflecting on her artistic vision, Maggi Simpkins shares, “The goal was to craft something that would catch the eye and sparkle on stage. I aimed for the buds to make a statement, yet not overshadow her ensemble.” This meticulous balance between elegance and flair is evident in every aspect of Simpkins’ design.
This collaboration marks yet another innovative stride for Bose, building upon prior partnerships with esteemed jewelers. Notably, the tech giant enlisted artist Victor Solomon to fashion custom gold-plated, diamond-set earbuds for USA Basketball stars Anthony Edwards and Tyrese Haliburton. Additionally, Bose collaborated with Atlanta-based jewelry firm Icebox to adorn another pair of earbuds with 365 diamonds for Colombian sensation Maluma, who showcased them on the esteemed Grammy Awards red carpet in 2024.
With each collaboration, Bose continues to blur the boundaries between technology and opulence, offering consumers a distinctive fusion of state-of-the-art audio performance and exquisite craftsmanship. Maggi Simpkins’ diamond-set Bose earbuds stand as a testament to this ongoing dedication to innovation and elegance within the realm of audio accessories.
