Geneva— A golden-hued diamond brooch, resembling one worn by the late Queen Elizabeth, is set to be auctioned at Sotheby’s in Geneva this week, with an expected sale price of around $6 million.
The “Allnatt” diamond, named after its first owner, British sportsman Major Alfred Ernest Allnatt, is a rare, fancy vivid yellow stone weighing 101.29 carats. Mounted by Cartier into a floral design, the brooch closely resembles Queen Elizabeth’s Williamson Pink diamond brooch, which she received as a wedding gift in 1947.
Additionally, an unmounted, internally flawless diamond weighing over 37 carats will also be auctioned on Tuesday, according to Sotheby’s.
