Troy Underwood, Vice President of Underwoods Fine Jewelers in Fayetteville, has been honored by Jewelers of America as one of the top 20 jewelry professionals under 40. This accolade highlights young professionals who exhibit leadership and a commitment to advancing jewelry retail.
The 20 Under 40 in Jewelry Retail list, established in 2022, recognizes individuals for their potential to shape the future of the jewelry industry. “Troy possesses all the qualities and leadership skills that will help to pave the way for a brighter future and the next generation of jewelry industry professionals,” said David Bonaparte, President & CEO of Jewelers of America.
A third-generation jeweler, Underwood graduated from the University of Alabama with a double major in Finance and Marketing. He initially worked in heavy machinery sales in Saint Louis before pursuing his passion for gemology at the Gemological Institute of America in Carlsbad, where he earned titles as a Graduate Gemologist, counter sketching, and bench professional. Underwood gained further experience at Lee Michaels flagship store in Baton Rouge before joining the family business in Fayetteville.
