DARIEN — Darien police are investigating an early-morning burglary at David Harvey Jewelers on Post Road that occurred on Wednesday.
Lt. Dan Skoumbros of the Darien Police Department reported that officers responded to the burglary at 995 Post Road at 4:32 a.m. Upon arrival, they found the front door smashed and jewelry scattered on the sidewalk. Inside the store, display cases were shattered, and jewelry was strewn across the floor.
Security camera footage released by the department shows four masked and gloved suspects using a sledgehammer to forcibly enter the premises and ransack the interior. The investigation is ongoing, and no further details are available at this time.
