Southport, Conn.—Jennifer Herold, Conference Director at the Independent Jewelers Organization (IJO), has been promoted to the newly established position of Vice President, the organization announced earlier this month.
Herold, a Greenwich, Connecticut native, has been with IJO for over two decades. She pursued her education at Pepperdine University in Malibu, California, and the University of New Hampshire (UNH), where she earned a degree in communications with a minor in business administration.
Residing in Westport, Connecticut, Herold lives with her husband, Marc Herold, and their three sons.
In the announcement to IJO members, Owner and Chairman Jeff Roberts praised Herold’s diverse skill set and exceptional communication abilities, emphasizing her role in maintaining focus within the organization. Herold will continue her duties as Conference Director in addition to her new responsibilities as Vice President.
“I truly love what I do in my conference role, and being able to expand my responsibilities while continuing to do what I have always been passionate about is a wonderful opportunity,” Herold stated. “I appreciate Jeff for trusting in me to bring additional value to our IJO community. We have an exceptional membership and I truly enjoy the people in this group so much.”
Founded in 1972 by Bill Roberts Jr., IJO serves as a buying group for retail jewelers. The organization’s next show is set for July 13-16 at the Marriott Marquis in Chicago.
