A 45.07-carat yellow diamond is set to headline Phillips’ upcoming jewelry auction, featuring 125 lots and a selection of rare colored diamonds.
The square emerald-cut, fancy-vivid-yellow, VS1-clarity diamond is estimated to sell for between $2.8 million and $3.5 million at the New York Jewels sale on June 12. In addition, the auction will showcase a 4.01-carat, cushion modified brilliant-cut, fancy-intense-green diamond with a high estimate of $350,000.
Other highlights include a Cartier ring adorned with a 3.07-carat, pear brilliant-cut, light-blue, VS2 diamond, flanked by tapered baguette diamonds, valued between $200,000 and $300,000. An oval modified brilliant-cut, 4.16-carat, fancy-pink-brown, internally flawless diamond is expected to fetch $120,000 to $160,000.
Noteworthy items also include a Harry Winston ring featuring a 7.12-carat, oval brilliant-cut, F-color, VVS2 diamond, and a pair of ear clips with marquise, pear, and oval-shaped diamonds, both with high estimates of $220,000.
“We are excited to present such a strong offering in our upcoming New York sale, which takes place on the heels of our second successful season in Geneva,” said Eva Violante, head of jewels for the Americas at Phillips. “There has been a clear demand for exceptional jewels and gemstones that span the century, evidenced by the strong results in both Geneva and Hong Kong, as well as the enthusiasm we have seen across the globe during our international tour.”
