All diamonds featured in the auction, which began May 31 and runs through June 7, come from a single private collection.
The sale includes a variety of unmounted diamonds, rings, and pendants. Highlights include:
A ring featuring a 1.01-carat, fancy intense pink, pear modified brilliant-cut diamond with I2 clarity, surrounded by pink-tinted and white diamonds, estimated up to $100,000.
Another ring showcasing a 10.01-carat, fancy yellow, cut-cornered square modified brilliant diamond with VS1 clarity, estimated between $75,000 and $95,000.
A ring with a 1.04-carat, fancy green-blue, cut-cornered square modified brilliant diamond, surrounded by pink-tinted diamonds, estimated between $70,000 and $90,000.
Caroline Morrissey, director and head of jewelry for New York at Bonhams, remarked on the collection’s uniqueness. “This charming collection from a private estate offers a wide selection of fancy-colored diamonds, from blue to fancy intense pink. It is a rarity to offer so many impressive colored diamonds within a single sale, and we are honored to share these stones with the world.”
