Single Stone’S Corina Madilian Unveils The Top Wedding Jewelry Styles For 2025

Corina Madilian, co-owner of Single Stone, the renowned wholesale and retail jewelry brand specializing in vintage and heirloom rings, shares her insights on the wedding jewelry trends set to dominate in 2025. With years of experience in the jewelry industry, Madilian has seen the evolving tastes of couples seeking unique engagement rings.

According to Madilian, there has been a noticeable shift in engagement ring preferences. “For a long time, we saw brides opting for oval stones, super-white diamonds, and micro-pavé shanks,” she explains. “Now, brides want to stand out by choosing styles that reflect their individuality. The biggest trend right now is rejecting the idea of being ‘on trend.’”

Madilian believes the rise of lab-grown diamonds has contributed to this change in mindset. “The introduction of lab-grown diamonds and their associated push has caused some couples to veer away from traditional options that are commonly seen everywhere. Clients are now gravitating towards rings that feel more original and unique—without being overly eccentric.”

Madilian highlights several key trends that will shape wedding jewelry choices in 2025:

1. Platinum Returns to Favor

After years of gold dominance, platinum is making a comeback. “Clients are starting to consider platinum again, though gold remains the top choice for bridal jewelry. Platinum’s appeal isn’t driven by price; it’s simply about an open-minded approach to metal options,” Madilian notes.

2. East-West Settings Get a Boost from Zendaya

East-west engagement rings continue to be a popular choice, and Zendaya’s recent appearance wearing one has only increased their allure. Madilian shares, “We’ve always worked with horizontal east-west settings, but now, with celebrities like Zendaya showcasing this style, more brides feel confident trying it for themselves.”

3. Embrace of Colored Stones and Warmer Diamonds

Couples are opting for colored stones like emeralds, rubies, sapphires, and even aquamarine. “There’s a clear shift toward warmer diamonds, with many clients choosing stones in Q and R color ranges, as well as cognac diamonds,” says Madilian. “It’s about being different and moving away from the standard, colorless diamond that used to be so dominant.”

4. Lab-Grown Diamonds are Off the Table

Madilian explains that most of Single Stone’s clientele prefer natural diamonds over lab-grown alternatives. “There’s a sense of insecurity surrounding lab-grown diamonds—clients feel they lack transparency, and there’s a mistrust in the messaging. They want something genuine, something with authenticity.”

5. All Shapes Welcome

The popularity of specific diamond shapes is no longer as rigid as before. “We’re seeing a resurgence of marquise and pear shapes, which were once less fashionable,” says Madilian. “It’s exciting to see clients embracing stones that were once less conventional, such as old European cuts or rose cuts. It’s not just about the stone but the overall aesthetic and finish.”

6. Chunky Gold Styles Have Enduring Appeal

Chunky gold engagement rings continue to capture attention, merging modern design with vintage nostalgia. “Clients are also requesting low-set stones, which offer durability for everyday wear. Chunky gold rings with low-set stones are not just a passing trend—they have staying power,” says Madilian.

With a growing desire for unique, personalized engagement rings, 2025 will see couples embracing an eclectic mix of styles, from colored gemstones to unconventional diamond shapes. As trends evolve, Madilian and Single Stone remain committed to offering one-of-a-kind, heirloom-quality jewelry that helps brides express their individuality.
