Hermès’ new high jewellery collection, Les Formes de la Couleur, reimagines colour through the lens of art and geometry. Under Pierre Hardy’s direction, this groundbreaking collection transforms abstract hues into tangible, wearable creations.
Hardy states, “I wanted to express this fundamental phenomenon and create something with a distinct identity.”
Inspired by Kandinsky’s theory that colours connect to shapes, Hardy creates jewellery that pairs shades with geometric forms. Red takes the square, blue the circle, and green becomes a brushstroke of tsavorite garnets.
Each piece brings colour to life with intricate designs, including a red square of garnets and a brilliant blue sapphire surrounded by chalcedony.
